Introducing the Furniture Rehab Lane Furniture Compatible Recliner D-Ring or Parachute Style Recliner Release Handle, the ideal replacement part for repairing broken recliner handles/cables on Lane and Action brand recliners manufactured after 2014. This high-quality release cable features a Z-shaped tip on the end that attaches to the mechanism trigger, and is compatible with select Lane and Action furniture models. Please note that it is important to double-check the dimensions to ensure that they match your particular model before making a purchase.
The length of the release cable is 27 1/4 inches in total, with the exposed wire length from the clip to the end measuring approximately 2.75 inches, and a Z-shaped tip on the exposed wire that connects to the recliner mechanism release trigger. Please note that Lane recliners switched from a hoop end to a Z-shaped tip in 2014, so it is important to carefully examine the tip to ensure compatibility.
In addition to this release cable, Furniture Rehab also offers the Lane D-pull recliner release cable with the oval hoop end (Part#DQBk1I1x01), which is compatible with Lane recliners manufactured before 2014.

Make sure to measure your broken cable's exposed wire, or the length of the wire when the lever is not retracted outside of the cable housing. A replacement cable can be longer, or shorter, but if the exposed wire length isn't exact the lever action isn't going to activate the recliner mechanism properly, or feel 'squishy'.
