The Hooks of this Spring are offset facing opposite directions of each other. Each Hook Measures 3/4 Inch Above the Coil. How To:

Turn the recliner over Using pliers or a piece of twine, hook the springs on to the mechanism peg or hole in the metal plate then using pliers or twine pull the opposite hook into the next spring mounting hole.

For best results open the footrest before fitting the spring will make access to the mechanism easier.
