Coil length is 2 2/3 inches. The hooks measure 3/4 Inch above the coil. The hooks are offset 180 degrees. How To:

Turn the recliner over Using pliers or a piece of twine, hook the springs on to the mechanism peg or hole in the metal plate then using pliers or twine pull the opposite hook into the next spring mounting hole.

For best results open the footrest before fitting the spring will make access to the mechanism easier.
