Recliner Handle Cable 4.75" Exposed Wire, 6mm Barrel, 35.5" Length w O-Tip

Replacement recliner handle cable with 4.75" exposed wire. Has a 6mm Barrel Handle Connector and requires a compatible handle. Overall Length is 35.5 inches and connects to the mechanism with a standard O-Tip with an assist spring. While the exposed wire is fairly long, the travel of the compressed spring is closer to 1.5 inches (compressed) to 2.83 inches (uncompressed), and can be treated as its own exposed wire length.

Our parts should not be labeled as "Broken" if it doesn't work with your existing chair. Recliners and mechanisms are not 1 size fits all, they are made with specific limitations in mind. Similarly the measurements given here can vary due to changes in temperature, subtle variations at manufacture, and so on, so care should be made to ensure that a range of about 0.2 inches around our listed size is used when comparing your existing cable. A cable is only broken if the attachments at either end have broken off, or the cable itself has been cut somehow.

Make sure to measure your broken cable's exposed wire, or the length of the wire when the lever is not retracted outside of the cable housing. A replacement cable can be longer, or shorter, but if the exposed wire length isn't exact the lever action isn't going to activate the recliner mechanism properly, or feel 'squishy'.
